At the entrance “Orrido di Bellano” to the site, there is also a three-storey pentagonal tower perched on a rock overlooking the river, already known in the early seventeenth century, present in all publications that refer to the gorge, but the origins of which are unknown. Nowadays it is known as Cà del Diavol because of the frescoes in the upper part where zodiac signs and mythological deities can be seen, but also because of the legends that have arisen and that indicate it as the site of numerous satanic rites, parties and orgiastic meetings.
Ca’ del Diavol
An unconfirmed story, but certainly more plausible than the legends handed down, is the one in which, during Austrian domination, the house was a point of access to numerous tunnels that branched off under the old town in which the Bellanesi people hid to avoid the patrols during the curfew.
Work is currently underway on its complete recovery and its transformation into a very modern multimedia museum which, thanks to special technological devices, will present visitors with stories and legends linked to the area, as well as historical and naturalistic information and some suggestions for excursions to discover the lake and mountains.

Last entrance: 20 minutes before closing time.
Visits in English are at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Other time slots can be agreed directly at the ticket office upon availability.
A maximum of 8 people are allowed to enter Ca’ del Diavol per time slot. The complete visit lasts about 45 minutes. Please arrive at the ticket office at least 10 minutes before your booked visit time, otherwise you will lose your place. Tickets are non-refundable.
Dogs of all sizes are allowed in the Orrido. Dogs are NOT allowed in the Ca’ del Diavol. Dogs are permitted in the Giancarlo Vitali Museum and San Nicolao Contemporary Art only if they are kept in a bag or carrier.
It’s NOT allowed to take pictures inside Ca’ del Diavol.
Tours at 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. are in english
